Stephen qualified in London and spent a number of years working, teaching and carrying out research at UCH and later the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital where he was for 3 years. During this time at the Eastman he obtained his D.Orth.RCS and then worked in the Periodontal (gum treatment) department. He combined this with evening and weekend work in dental practices to increase his general experience.
On leaving the hospital he set up a general private practice in St Johns Wood and a practice in the London’s West End where he only saw periodontal referrals from other dentists in the area.
During this time he helped found the Oral Health Foundation, the leading dental charity in the UK. He is a past chairman of the charity and an honorary lifetime vice-president.
In 2014 he moved to the Harley Street Dental Studio bringing many of his patients with him.
